Support the Comic

I'll never stop comparing myself to Bill Watterson. The man was and is my hero, not only because of his talent, but also because he created Calvin and Hobbes because he loved Calvin and Hobbes. And while I may never equal his talent, I do feel like I've captured his spirit for creation.

See, I don't make A Starfarer's Guide for money, or for recognition, or even for you. I'm doing it because I love it, and that's always going to be a good enough reason for me.

That said, if you enjoy the comic, I am sincerely grateful for that. Grateful and a little tickled. I want to make something you enjoy, and I'm always going to push myself to make better stuff that you'll enjoy even more.

You can support the comic by buying it! The first three books are available for purchase here, along with a volume that contains the early comics published in 2012. It's worth noting that books 1 and 2 are in the same volume, so even though it sounds like I just said there are four physical things you can peruse, there are actually three. All three are available in full color, printed on high quality paper, and book 3, Hijinks Ensue, includes both a Hawkingnet glossary and exclusive margin art of the crew of the Eclipse.
You can also support the comic by reading it and following via Google or on Facebook. I see lovely line graphs for every comic you read, and graphs can be a strangely effective motivator for me. So read! And feel free to contact me through comments on the site, @starfarersguide on Facebook, or by emailing I'm glad you're here, and I hope you're enjoying the ride.
